“FACILITATOR AT THE 2019 NARFE PRESIDENTS’ MEETING”

At the 2018 Federation Presidents’ Meeting, the FPs selected MARYLAND President Dr. Gary Roundtree to serve as the Facilitator at the 2019 NARFE Presidents’ Meeting to be held in Scottsdale, Arizona. The meeting will be from July 7 – 10, 2019.

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) was founded in 1921 with the mission of protecting the earned rights and benefits of America’s active and retired federal workers. CALL FOR 2020 BYLAW AND STANDING RULE AMENDMENTS

April 3, 2019

TO:  Federation Presidents, Chapter Presidents, and NEB

NARFE form (F C-3), Proposal to Amend Bylaw or Standing Rule, has been updated and is required for submission of amendments to bylaws or standing rules to be voted on in the 2020 NARFE election.  The form is available on the Members Only NARFE web site under Officers’ Resources (Forms) as a 2-page fillable form. Click here for F-3C. to view the form.  Amendments that will appear on the 2020 NARFE ballot will be accepted beginning now.  All amendments submitted in the correct format by no later than January 1, 2020 will be forwarded to the NARFE Bylaws and Resolutions Committee Chair for action.  If unable to use the fillable form and submit to resbylaws@narfe.org, please print the form, fill it out, and send by U.S. Postal mail to National Secretary/Treasurer, NARFE Resolutions and Bylaws, 606 N. Washington Street, Alexandria, VA 22314.  Questions about the form or the deadline should be submitted by email to resbylaws@narfe.org.

 

The 2018 NARFE Bylaws (FH-4) published in October 2018 stated that a chapter, a federation executive board, a federation conference/annual meeting, the NEB, any committee designated by the NEB, or a group of twenty members in good standing may submit proposed amendments to the NARFE bylaws.   Amendments to any standing rule require submission of the same form and will be processed in the same manner as bylaws amendments.
