Maryland Federation of NARFE 2019 Conference

We had a very successful Maryland Federation of NARFE 44th Biennial Conference, May 5-7, 2019 at the Dunes Manor Hotel, in Ocean City, Md. The 95 people who attended this informational and educational conference enjoyed great speakers, workshops, exhibitors, raffles, door prizes, accommodations, food and entertainment.

Among the many speakers were Peter Franchot, Comptroller of Maryland; John Wobensmith, Maryland Secretary of State; Jeffrey David Cox Sr., AFGE National President; Barbara Sido, NARFE Executive Director; James Marshall on NARFE’s Federal Benefits Institute; and Senior Special Agent Cara Rose, of Homeland Security Investigations, on Human Trafficking.

NARFE/MD officers installed for 2019 to 2021 are: President Dr. Gary Roundtree Sr.; 1 st Vice President Dr. Sudha Haley; 2nd Vice President Edward Reed; Secretary Patricia Farmer; and Treasurer Dick Strombotne. They were elected by the One Member One Vote process.

The next NARFE/MD Biennial Conference will be in 2021. I hope you can join us then.
